The Intro to “The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings” for the XBox 360 is the result of nine months of work by Platige Image. Tomasz Baginski’s directorial vision was made real thanks to heroic efforts by a team of artists under the supervision of animation director Maciek Jackiewicz.
Their work involved hundreds of minute tasks in areas such as modeling, animation, simulation, and compositing. Particular shots were organized by characters, layers, time, and gigabytes of data used. The visual data shows just how complex and meticulous the process was. We’ve created this visual breakdown of the painstaking work behind the animation as an expression of our admiration for the entire team’s efforts in making this cinematic masterpiece.
