All these household values are worthless without the freedom to enjoy.

I was thinking the same thing!

Freedom? Is a war every two years freedom? Nooo that's a military too involved with politics.

Riley McCrery, agreed about too many wars and being to involved when sometimes we shouldn't be. However, if we did have the military or less, would other countries be more inclined to attack?

The government is the one taking away your freedoms. The Patriot Act and now the NDAA gives the feds the right to hold anyone they suspect of wrong-doing without trial, forever. All they have to do is say that you went a website that supports terror, or that the friend of your friend visited Pakistan.

It's nice to see how much our military costs. But without that military, we wouldn't really enjoy much of those things, now would we?

A much smaller military would still deter attackers and protect our borders. What our large military allows us to do is attack, but if we only wanted to defend we could cut a lot of our spending. Besides, more Americans are trained and experienced in firearms than any other nationality. Let them try to take America and see what happens.

And we can afford all of this because the Government doesn’t owe you a house, an education, or healthcare. Enough with the handouts. If it had compared it to other government sectors, or how it would lower the tax rates then It’d be a little more interesting. Such as instead of buying an aircraft carrier, how many new roads could we build or something along that.
